Eight 1941-1945 U.S. Treasury 90% Silver Patriotic Service Medals

There isn't a ton of information out there on these nifty medals, which is odd because they are such a terrific little snippet of history.

My understanding from the bit of research I did was that these were given as awards to sellers of of World War II War Bonds. Each medal weighs appx .70 toz giving the lot a gross weight of 5.6 troy ounces and 5.04 Net Pure ounces.
