Bashlow Restrikes, (1961) "1861" Confederate Cents, Bronze, Goldine & Silver Set


The affordable way to own specimens of the 1861 Confederate cent. In 1961 Robert Bashlow made copies of the, by then defaced, Lovette dies and struck these peices in multitude of metals and materials:

Bronze – 20,000 struck
Goldine (gold colored brass alloy) – 5,000 struck
Silver – 5,000 pieces struck

Platinum – very rare – 3 pieces struck
Gold – very rare – 3 pieces struck
“Nickel Silver” maybe “German silver” – possibly 50 struck
Lead – 50 pieces struck
Zinc – 50 pieces struck
Red fiber – 50 pieces struck

Please note that the holder is mislabeled. In order of left to right the coins are Bronze->Goldine->Silver.
