The Star Stamp: The bottom block is a block of four 2¢ Carmine Hawaii 1778–1928 Overprints (Scott #647). Issued in 1928 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Captain Cook's arrival in Hawaii, these overprints were originally distributed primarily in Hawaii and Washington D.C., making on-cover blocks of four a classic favorite among U.S. territorial and commemorative specialists.

"W" Initial Cancels: The top two blocks are cancelled with bold purple initial handstamps featuring a stylized "W" inside target rings for Wildwood, NJ.

Origin & Dealer Mail: Sent registered from Wildwood, New Jersey on February 11, 1929, to W. C. Phillips & Co. in Hartford, Connecticut—one of the most famous U.S. stamp dealerships of that era.
