What a neat and tough (tough, tough) Hard Times token. All research now indicates this token was made for R.E. Russell of South Carolina. Russell ran a seed business, public bath and a boarding house (a couple of which have advertised prices reflecting his use of the bit at the time). While "Feuchtwanger Cent" tokens are not terribly scarce this alternate version is one of just a few he made and is indeed quite scarce.

This is one of the more mark free specimens I've seen and it is priced very competitively.
