Wonderfully well preserved and original percussion revolver from the Civil War era - shows no signs of refinishing. Modeled very closely to the Colt Model 1851 Navy. This would have been one of the first few hundred Model IIIs manufactured. Top of the barrel is stamped with "MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J."
