Nov 26, 1942 Censored Mexico to University of Virginia Student Benito Rish (Read Desc.)

This is an envelope from Benito Rish's father Samuel Rish. Benito Rish studied at UVA to become a doctor and ended up practicing in Yonkers, NY. Benito was known to specialize in both plastic surgery and urology.

Then it gets interesting. Apparently, Benito was relatively well regarded (for a brief period) in performing sex change operations. One of his clients Liz Eden, perhaps most famous as being the boyfriend of John Wojtowicz, the bank robber who sold his story to Warner Bros, which was made into the movie Dog Day Afternoon.

Rish's career was checkered with malpractice suits and he eventually lost his license to practice in NY.
