Neat coin, in the shape of a plate, with a very small 5,000 coin mintage. Virtually unavailable in the market today.

Obverse: The letters RF (for République Française) are calligraphed on the reverse of the insert and highlighted by two crossed horns of plenty. Around the edge of the coin, a frieze shows various elements on the theme of the Art of the table and cooking (sole, wine flask+glass, bouquet, goose, venison, hare, artichoke, mutton, bell, fruit bowl) | 10 Euro/RF

Reverse: The obverse of the insert features a portrait of Marie-Antoinette.
Around the edge of the coin, a frieze repeats the motif of a service created for Louis XVI | 2015

This piece features a ceramic insert in the center, representing the basin of the plate. It features a portrait of Marie-Antoinette. This insert is unique in that it is set into the coin at the time of minting.
