In order to make this deal most equitable for all involved I've consolidated all the 1953/63 series into one group. Then I've grouped the grades into two groups with the grading decidedly in your favor.

The end result is:

VG/F group will contain notes up to low-end VFs.
VF/Better group will contain notes up XF and even the odd low-end AU.
