1936 Cincinnati Silver Commemorative Half Dollar - Brilliant Uncirculated

Grade: Brilliant Uncirculated

Of somewhat dubious origin, the Cincinnati half was supposedly struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cincinnati as a center of music.  Moreover the obverse features Stephen Foster as "America's Troubadour", though no connection between himself and Cincinnati has ever been established.  This coin was struck at all three mints in 1936.  Mintmark will be of our choosing.

Mintages:

1936: 5,005 • 1936-D: 5,005 • 1936-S: 5,006
