1910 $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin - Brilliant Uncirculated in 14K Bezel

Bit of an odd duck these... I bought a neat deal over the counter today. Some really nice Pre-1933 gold but all in 14K bezels and presented in Tiffany Boxes (which I'm including). Best guess... someone sent their gold to Tiffany's to have framed.

Here is the breakdown on the bezel:

  • Total weight in grams (coin + bezel): 9.48 grams
  • Weight of a $5 Indian: 8.36
  • Bezel weight: 9.48 - 8.36 = 1.12 grams (14k (.585))
  • Net purity in gold 1.12g = 0.03600884 toz * .585 (14k) = 0.0210 AGW
