1896 $2 "Educational" Silver Certificate Fr. 248 - Net Very Fine

Ranked #11 in the 100 Greatest American Currency Notes, the $2 Educational features Science presenting Steam and Electricity to Commerce and Manufacture on the obverse and vignettes of Robert Fulton (inventor of the first modern torpedoes) and Samuel F.B. Morse (inventor of Morse code) on the reverse.

Nice looking specimen on solid paper with strong color and great contrast. The only downside is a very small (3mm) tear on the upper left margin.
